Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

We know nobody actually enjoys reading a privacy policy, so we kept this one short and skipped the legal jargon where we could. It covers what we collect when you visit Trip Vault Guide, what we do with it, and what say you have over it. Using our site means you’re okay with what’s below.

What We Collect

A few things, depending on how you use the site:

    • If you sign up for our newsletter or send us a message through the contact form, we get your name and email

    • Your browser, device, and the pages you visit get logged automatically through cookies and analytics

    • Anything you post in the comments on our blog

What We Do With It

Mostly practical stuff:

    • Sending newsletter emails, but only if you signed up for them

    • Answering whatever you asked us through the contact form

    • Figuring out which posts people actually read, so we can write more of what works

    • Showing ads through outside advertising networks

Cookies

Cookies are very small files that are stored in your computer and enable the website to keep track of certain things. However, you can choose to disable cookies from your web browser, but please be aware that there could be some glitches with the website.

Links to Other Sites

We link out a lot, to hotels, tours, gear, whatever we’re talking about in a post. Once you click through, you’re on their turf, and their privacy rules apply, not ours. Worth a quick look at their policy before you hand over any info.

Advertising

We work with outside ad networks, Google included, to run ads on the site. These networks can use cookies to figure out what ads might interest you based on your browsing. Google has its own page explaining how this works if you want the full picture.

Keeping Your Data Safe

We take reasonable steps to protect whatever info you give us, but let’s be honest, nothing sent over the internet is bulletproof. We can’t promise total security, and nobody really can.

Kids

This site isn’t built for kids under 13, and we don’t go looking for their information. If you think a child has given us personal details somehow, reach out and we’ll take care of it.

Your Options

Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, so that’s always one click away. You can also just email us directly if you want to know what we have on file, or if you’d rather we deleted it.

If This Page Changes

We’ll update this page whenever something changes, and we’ll bump the date at the top so you know.
